What is the Braid Bar and how is it different to your previous stand?
Our Selfridges stand is the new premium destination for all things braids. At the Braid Bar, you’ll discover our latest Synths 2 Braid-It extensions alongside our best-selling Wet Lab styling products. Each member of our team is also a trained braider, ready to offer expert guidance and deliver an exceptional styling experience.
What services are you offering?
We’ll be offering a variety of braiding services, including stitch braids, braided ponytails and colour blending too! You can see the full range of services here.
How can I book?
You can book your appointment on Selfridges site linked here.
During the booking process, you’ll complete a short form so our Ruka Hair Artist can prepare in advance and ensure your style is tailored to you.
A member of our team will follow up with a phone call to confirm your appointment and discuss any additional requirements to make your experience seamless.
Do you take walk-in appointments?
Currently, we don’t take walk-in appointments for a full braiding look, but you can still stop by the counter for help from one of our Hair Artists to demo the products, and maybe even touch up your edges!
What is the consultation?
A Ruka Hair Artist will give you a call to review your pre-booking form, ask any follow-up questions, and ensure everything is prepared for your appointment. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions ahead of your visit, so we can make sure your experience is seamless from start to finish.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.
Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Yes you can! Simply let us know as soon as possible. Please aim to give us at least 24 hours notice should you wish to make a change to your booking.
What if I’m unhappy with the service I received?
We want every client to leave feeling confident and cared for. If you have any concerns during your appointment, please let your stylist or the retail manager know so we can address them straight away. If you prefer to follow up afterwards, you can email us at [email protected] and our Customer Experience team will be happy to assist.
What to expect at the appointment?
Once you arrive, please come in and speak to the Ruka Hair Artists. Once you’ve checked in, you’ll be seated and given some time to settle in before we get started. Our stylists will guide you through every step, so you leave with a look you love.
If you have any accessibility requirements, please let us know ahead of time so we can ensure your visit is as comfortable as possible.
Do you do wig installations?
We are only able to offer services on our list found here. Some styles may include bundles, or half-wigs. Be sure to check the service description to see what’s required prior to booking your appointment!
Do you still sell human hair?
Absolutely! While our stand in Selfridges is now dedicated to our Braid-it range, our human hair extensions and wigs are still available to purchase on our site here.
Where and when can we find you?
We’re located at the back of Selfridges Beauty Hall and are open from 10am-9pm every day.
